Typical problems
Filling gaps at short notice
A guitarist drops out and the session is tomorrow. A round-robin email goes out looking for someone who can step in.
Studio time and private dates
Freelancers work for several studios and have rehearsals and gigs in their own calendars. Without syncing, bookings overlap.
Billing from notes
Hours, day rates, evening surcharges: at the end of the month an invoice is pieced together from notes.
How CueFlow helps
Profiles with work samples
Musicians and engineers show their trades and work samples on their profile, audio files included. You listen before you ask.
Calendars that stay in sync
Freelancers connect their Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar. Busy times block their availability; studios only see that the time is taken.
Sessions past midnight
Bookings take times around the clock. A night session ends the next day and shows up that way in both calendars.
Invoice from the session
The booking becomes the invoice, with hourly or day rate and the surcharges for evenings, nights and weekends, as a PDF and an XRechnung.
How it works
Request a session
Pick the date, time and place and ask the right person.
Confirmed in one click
The freelancer accepts or declines. Everything else you settle in the booking’s messages.
A reminder beforehand
Both sides get a reminder one day before the session.
Bill
After the session the freelancer writes the invoice from the booking.
Frequently asked questions
- Which calendars can be connected?
- Freelancers on paid plans connect Google Calendar and Outlook directly by signing in. iCloud and other CalDAV calendars work on every plan, as many as the plan allows. Their CueFlow bookings can also be subscribed to in any calendar.
- What do studios see of my private calendar?
- Only that you are busy at a given time. Studios do not see the titles, places or descriptions of your own appointments.
- Can I book musicians for several days in a row?
- Yes. A booking can span several days, for example for an album production. Every day is in the calendar, and overlapping requests from other studios are refused.
- Does CueFlow take a share of the fee?
- No. The agreed fee goes entirely to the freelancer. The larger plans cost a monthly or yearly subscription.
